Christmas on 8th Street

SAVE THE DATE FOR GIVING TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29th

Volunteers are at it again! It's Christmas on 8th Street, and the hallways will soon look like a Hallmark movie. Pictures will adorn the walls with love. A spotlight will shine on the donors who support our mission.

Festivities include:

The lighting of the homes and winter displays for photo opportunities

Santa and Mrs. Clause

Trousdale Acres Tiny Hiney's Travelin' Farm

Hot Cocoa and Cookies

Fireside Smores

Jingle Bell Stop features a unique tour with prizes for kids

A Marketplace of Crafts and Unique Gift items

Music and good company

A food alley featuring Bad Newz BBQ and more

We need sponsors for our residents more than ever. We have accepted residents who could not pay the amount of care but were vulnerable. A sweet young lady was discharged from the Children's Baptist Home because she had aged out of the state system. A young man who loves to whistle needs to learn more independence, and his parents are planning for the long term. We worked with First Stop and Huntsville Hospital to provide emergency care when the family could not provide care.

8th Street Community offers the same services as an assisted living facility but receives no state or federal income, nor do we have passive income. Your donation covers the cost of our residents' unmatched care.

Here are ways to help:

We couldn't do this without our volunteers. There is still time to join, and we would love to have you at our next meeting. Contact Cydney Honaker for more info at cydney@3058thstreet.org.
