About the event
The annual Love Grows Here event is sponsored by Venturi, a Chenega Company. The purpose of this evening is to raise awareness and funds for the care of individuals living at Eighth Street Community. Our residents are those who require 24-hour and supportive care based on their cognitive abilities and inabiliy to live independently. The evening features a catered dinner with an open bar, entertainment, and an update on the organization. Residents of Eighth Street Community and the organization (as a whole) do not receive state waivered assistance; the community of North Alabama has been our backbone for making the required financial match to continue our mission for the past 45 years.
